THE PORCH ROOM TAKES HOME THREE PERRY AWARDS “ACCIDENTS HAPPEN”, OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL PLAY!

The New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT) has named The Porch Room’s 2008 evening of original short plays, Accidents Happen, the OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION OF AN ORIGINAL PLAY at the 2009 Perry Awards!

Accidents Happen took home three awards total:

• OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION OF AN ORIGINAL PLAY – Accidents Happen. Circle Players (Producer); Pete Barry, J. Michael DeAngelis, John Dowgin, Serena Halley (Writers and Directors) and Cathy Zouves-Wrobel (Co-Director).
• OUTSTANDING FEATURED ACTOR IN A PLAY – Jon Heron (Cyrus O’Leary/ Dr. Pootram)
• OUTSTANDING STAGE MANAGEMENT OF A PLAY – Tina Lee

Also receiving recognition were our producing partners, Circle Players Theater, who took home a total of six Perry Awards! Our sincere thanks to our friends at Circle, who we hope to be working with again very soon!!
