Pete Barry’s ode to Fred Rogers, Ghost of Make-Believe, will have it’s debut as part of “Hell With The Lid Taken Off” at the Pittsburgh Fringe Festival on May 10th & 11th, 2014.
The short play is part of an evening of original works about the city of Pittsburgh. The Porch Room’s contribution takes a look at the legacy of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood and what happens when a young businesswoman tries to re-imagine the show for a more commercial age. Before she can sell away their legacy, some friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe are going to have a few things to say to her.
Performances will be held on May 10th at 12:40pm and May 11th at 1:00pm & 7:20pm. All performances are in the Library Theater (Room 224) at 555 Morewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
“Hell With The Lid Taken Off” features short plays by Pete Barry, John Zygmunt, Chris Gavaler, F.J. Hartland and Robert Isenberg.
